摘要: In this talk, we will present a pipe corrosion detection tool (EPXII) based on electromagnetic induction principle, which can exam the condition of multiple pipes without intrusion or deconstruction. The EPXII consists of two sets of transmitter and receiver, which have different TR spacings and frequencies. The first set of electromagnetic (EM) log data acquired by the T-R pair with higher frequency and shorter spacing can be used to accurately calculate the attributes of a first casing string. A second set of EM log data acquired by the T-R pair with longer spacing and lower frequency to calculate attributes of up to fifth pipes. A post-processing platform based on non-linear full inversion has been developed to quantitatively estimate the pipe thicknesses. Field tests from three different oilfields have been implemented, showing the effectiveness and efficiency of this tool.
